Open to local authorities, public and heritage bodies, private developers, contractors, planners, urban designers, and architects, the award honours those who have delivered a public realm project through a clear, planning-led approach. Whether through new design or the sensitive evolution and conservation of an existing place, the project must show measurable improvement on what existed before, socially, functionally, or aesthetically.

• Transformation & Impact: Show improvement over prior use.
