More time to enter for property awards’ big night

The closing date for entries to the KPMG Irish Independent Property Industry Excellence Awards has been extended until Friday, October 11, due to demand.

With the property market set to achieve near record levels of investment, there have already been exciting entries in most categories from property agencies as well as other sectors of the business.

The awards, now in their fifth year, reward and honour excellence in the sector.

Awards are presented in 10 categories: Community Benefit Award, Regional Excellence Award, Design Project of the Year, Commercial Agency Award, Property Investment Fund Manager Award, PropTech Innovation Award, Excellence in Planning Award for both private and public sectors, Contractor Award, Energy Efficiency Award, and Facilities Management Project Award.

Last year’s Overall Award went to building contractor Sisk.

More than 100 nominations are received each year and last year saw entries exceed 120. This year’s entries have surpassed this point already.

The introduction of the new PropTech Award category is causing huge interest, demonstrating the benefits that technology is having on the property business.

Jim Clery, head of real estate at KPMG, said: “I would like to thank the many entrants to date and encourage those who have yet to complete their entry to do so now.”

The awards ceremony will take place on November 28 at the National Convention Centre in Dublin.
